SHIPPING & PREP INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE YOU SHIP
Proper preparation ensures your bird arrives safely and preserves feather quality.
Careful storage and shipping protects the integrity of the feathers and helps us maintain quick turnaround times. Following these steps means better results for your finished piece.
IMMEDIATE CARE AFTER THE HUNT
Wrap the bird's head in paper towel and tuck under a wing.

Ensure bird is completely dry.

Place the entire bird inside a sealable plastic bag.

Remove excess air from the bag.

Place your bird in a freezer and keep frozen until ready to ship.

IMPORTANT
Do not attempt to clean, wash, or alter the feathers and DO NOT breast out the bird.
PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT
Remove your bird from the freezer and keep in same sealed bag.

Package bird in a foam insulated box. With an ice pack (warmer months)

Ship package as soon as possible after removing bird from the freezer.

Place toe tag in the sealed bag with the bird

DOWNLOAD TOE TAG (PDF)
IMPORTANT
Only remove bird from freezer when you are ready to ship. YOU MUST include toe tag in the sealed bag with the bird.
